Dr. Robert Nagel is a pioneer and innovator in the development of large-scale computer-based information systems. He has designed and delivered numerous mission-critical systems for government agencies and private industry.
He is one of a handful of computer scientists with advanced degrees in neurophysiology. He draws upon a rare confluence of knowledge of how the human brain functions as well as experience in designing large and sophisticated communication systems.
Robert is an inventor of 18 Patents issued or published in the United States and is the principal inventor of twelve of these. As of April 2008, only his most recent patent has not yet issued. He developed fundamental techniques now employed in the critical field of packet switching networks, the technological foundation of the Internet. The technology he designed has won several awards including the 1994 Seybold Award for the most innovative product of the year.
